Join us on Sunday, March 1st, (Doors open 1:30pm) for workshops on Legal Observer, Community Mobilization, and Know Your Rights Training. We’re diving deep into strategic tactics to mitigate harm and protect our neighbors.
Legal Observers® are the “eyes and ears” of the legal team. They create documentation during events which can later be use in defense cases, public statements, and litigation which aims to hold law enforcement agencies accountable for the actions of their officers. Trained by the National Lawyers Guild, attorney Cara Stewart will lead this introductory training to build a ready network of legal observers across Northern Kentucky.
The ION Center will be facilitating a presentation about community mobilization.
There are certain rights guaranteed to all people in the United States, regardless of immigration status. It is important to understand these rights. Know Your Rights Training empower individuals—regardless of immigration status—with knowledge of their constitutional rights during interactions with law enforcement, ICE, or in public spaces
Know Your Rights Training is limited to the first 25 sign-ups.
